                                Get AZ MLS

My name is Dusty, I was brought into the AC&C Center as a stray.  I was there for what seemed a life time (in dog life).  I was scared, hungry & sick.  The staff at the AC&C took as good of care of me as they could, with so many of us depending on them.

On April 26th, 2001 - after 100's of people looked at me & passed me by, I was adopted and taken home to live with my new best friend Bear & my new mom.  Bear has since passed away but she had a long and loving life of 17 years with my mom, I look forward to more.

As you can see from the photo below, I was given a great home and will never have another sleepless, scared  or hungry night along with my side kick "Ben the Cat"! - thanks to the East Valley AC&C adoption program!

 Dusty's Dandy Dog Treats

Ingredients:  Single batch

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 cups nonfat dry milk powder

  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats 0r 1/2 cup quick-cooking minute rice

  • 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1/3 cup shortening 0r real butter

  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

  • 2 cubes instant chicken or beef bouillon or 2 tablespoons of granules (for larger batches you could make your own beef or chicken stock from scratch)

  • 1/2 cup hot water

  • *Optional = you could finely chop up carrots.  you could substitute 1/2 cup of finely graded cheese.

  • Bouillon Glaze - combine ingredients and brush on surface of treats

  • 2 slightly beaten egg yokes

  • 1/4 cup bouillon

If you are making larger batches, be sure to refrigerate mixture while waiting for batch in oven (mixture will be much easier to work with)

Combine:   flour, milk powder, rolled oats (or rice), cornmeal and sugar in a large bowl.  Cut in shortening (or butter) until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.  Stir in egg.  Stir bouillon (put cubes or granules into hot water until dissolved (or add fresh bouillon stock).  Slowly pour into the flour mixture, stirring with a fork to moisten.  Form dough into ball and kneed on floured board five minutes, or until smooth and elastic.  Divide dough in half and roll out each 1/2 inch thick.  Make cutouts with cookie cutter.  Or make nuggets by rolling dough into 1-inch diameter log; cut off 1/2 -inch pieces.  Arrange six cutout shapes or 24 nuggets on a greased cookie sheet.  Brush each cookie surface with the bouillon glaze.

Baking instructions:  Preheat oven to 300 degrees for about 20 minutes (or until lightly browned)

EasyCare's Donations and Sponsorships Do Make a Difference !

EasyCare,Inc is proud to donate product that makes a difference in a horses' life. Throughout our existence as a horse boot company, we have been very excited to hear of the successful, happy outcomes of matching boots with equines in need. The boots that we have donated, have given more happiness to both equine and rescue organization alike. Here is some feedback from one very happy recipient.....Peggy Wright of Tempe, Arizona. Boots donated to the Arizona Humane Society are helping "Strawberry" in her need for relief. A special "Thanks" to Peggy for being the connection to help make this donation happen!
